Falling Feathers Chapter 8
Chapter 8: The Lost Child
Hace wasn't sure how long it took him to get from the DWMA to Maka's, he only knew that Crovix had disappeared more than unusually quickly and she hadn't been anywhere near the school after he'd left. Now the sun had fully dipped and he was just now standing on the doorstep of Maka and Soul's house wiping the makeup off his cheek so his tattoo was visible and trying to make himself look a bit more like he usually did as opposed to groomed from being at school. He didn't mind it though, he was in a particularly good mood after just seeing Crovix and being able to talk to her, he felt extremely accomplished, but this mood was not meant to last.
Hace rubbed one eye with the heel of his hand and opened the door revealing three adults sitting at the kitchen table around the corner. One was Maka, and one was Soul, but the third Hace had not met. He was tall and very thin with a sad face and drooping eyes, his hair was pink and was cut choppily a

Chapter 7: Second Encounter
Sterling climbed a tall wooden ladder propped up to a wide shelf that ran around the entire circular shape of Tsubaki's office. The room was longer than it was wide and had a small podium at the front for teaching while all the desks were in front of this and at the same level. However the desks were not currently in the room, instead Crovix and Sterling had spent most of their day, after tracking down supplies, pushing furniture in and out of this room to prepare it for the soul resonation class next week.
For the last hour the two had been setting candles around this small shelf around the perimeter of the room, about nine off the ground. The thing that made this difficult was the fact that only one could move on the platform at a time, which meant Sterling would climb the ladder with an arm full of candles and give them to Crovix, who would crawl along the shelf on her hands and knees to place them where they needed to be. Neither min

Chapter 6: Second Chance
Crovix had never been extremely outgoing, she's always kept to herself for the most part, but more than anything she had always longed to be able to speak her mind and have someone understand. She had friends, but they never seemed to be enough because they did not ask about how she was, so she would just listen to their stories. She wanted someone to ask about who she actually was when no one else was there, and someone not afraid to ask about her story. Crovix loved to have fun, be happy, and just have an all-around good time, but it was when everyone left that depression soon kicked in; she was attached to something she couldn't quite track down and it killed her inside just as it did most people with the same problem.
This was how Crovix felt as she sat with her head in her hands at the kitchen table thinking of the events of the previous day, running into that boy in the hallway was enough to make her blood boil. She couldn't stand the

Chapter 5: New Journey
The sound of dripping water filled a bright humid room as a woman only about twenty-three stepped from the shower while pulling a towel from the back of her bathroom door and walking toward her mirror. As she went she tied the towel around herself and pulled her soaking red, shoulder length hair, into a loose bun on the top of her head. She leaned forward and wiped mirror off so she could see her own face.
The woman had a sweet round shaped face with a large yet somewhat broken smile that pushed the freckles on her cheeks upward. Her eyes were a light hazel brown always misty with day dreams, with long eyelashes, and high eyebrows. She was very thin with long legs a flat chest and a very soft and almost nonexistent figure, which added to her simple beauty rather than take from it. And then under her right eye were the tattoos of a moon and diamond while she wore a golden wedding band on her ring finger.
The woman brushed her teeth, washed her
